MetroWest Medical Center Celebrates Nurses Week 2019
May 8, 2019MetroWest Medical Center is hosting special activities from May 6th to May 12th in recognition of Nurses Week.
May 6 is National Nurses Day and it marks the first day of National Nurses Week. This week is to raise awareness of the important role nurses play in society. Blessing of the Hands will take place throughout Leonard Morse Hospital on Tuesday, May 7 and at Framingham Union Hospital on Wednesday, May 8.
MetroWest Medical Center is hosting two Nursing Award Ceremonies this year. The first will be at Framingham Union Hospital on Wednesday, May 8 at 2pm. The second will be at Leonard Morse Hospital on Thursday, May 9 at 10am.
“Nurses play an important role in our Community Built on Care by providing compassionate, high quality care to our patients and their families,” said Dr. Susan Mangini, Chief Nursing Officer at MetroWest Medical Center. “I am deeply grateful to our nurses and their commitment to MetroWest Medical Center, our patients, families, each other and all members of the healthcare team.”
A community education program about Health Care Professionals and Social Media will be presented by Joann Gulliford Hoban, Esq. on Thursday, May 9, 2019, beginning at 12pm at Framingham Union Hospital.
