“The donations we collected during our ‘Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive’ will help provide a healthy breakfast during the summer to local children and adults struggling with hunger. I am so grateful for the support of our staff and community in this effort,” said Andrew D. Harding, chief executive officer of MetroWest Medical Center. “Good nutrition is essential to good health, and we want to help lead the fight against hunger in the Metro West region”.

“We are grateful to MetroWest Medical Center and its parent company, Tenet Healthcare, for hosting the Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive and to everyone who participated,” said Joanne Barry, Executive Director at A Place To Turn in Natick. “Everyone’s collective efforts raised 12,949 servings of cereal for both Natick and Framingham. We know that summer is a particularly tough time for many food-insecure families because children can no longer rely on schools for nutritious meals putting an added burden on these families. Thanks again to MetroWest Medical Center for hosting the Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive and joining us in the fight against hunger. We are thrilled that so many will now be helped because of the hospital’s leadership in addressing this community health issue.”
