MetroWest Medical Center Announces Two New Leadership Execs

MetroWest Medical Center is pleased to announce two new leaders to the hospital.

Neil Wallis, Associate Administrator
Neil Wallis has been promoted to Associate Administrator for both Framingham Union and Leonard Morse hospitals. In his new role, Neil will develop management objectives and policies for various operational departments and monitor results and interpret objectives, policies, and procedures. He will also be responsible for coordinating the activities of assigned departments, including laboratory services, pharmacy, respiratory, radiology, food & nutrition, and community aspects, with other departments within and outside the hospital.

Previously, Neil was the Executive Director of pharmacy, respiratory, and outpatient services, and market director of Wound Care Center. Neil has a record of success and a deep understanding of our industry, and brings valuable experience to the position that aligns perfectly with our vision and goals.


Melanie Vymlatil, RN,   Associate Chief Nursing Officer
Melanie Vymlatil, RN, has joined MetroWest Medical Center as Associate Chief Nursing Officer for both Framingham Union and Leonard Morse hospitals. Melanie’s job entails providing day-to-day nursing support and leadership to both MetroWest hospitals. She most recently worked at BID Plymouth and at Rhode Island Hospital prior to that.

Melanie started her nursing career in Florida. She has been an RN for 25 years possessing more than 20 years of leadership experience in numerous areas of specialty. She has experience in both large academic medical center settings and community hospitals.

“The ability to make a difference in the lives of others is what I find most rewarding about my career,” says Melanie. “I have always been extremely passionate about helping people and as a nursing leader, I am given the opportunity to do this on a much larger scale by influencing and developing highly functioning teams and creating a positive work culture.” She is highly focused on the patient and their experience as well as providing a safe environment for all who enter the hospitals.
